Donald Alfred (Don)HARRISDon passed away on 14th February 2017, aged 96 years. The funeral took place at Salem Baptist Chapel, Tonyrefail. Don was the loving Husband of the late Margaret, Dad to Leighton, Father-in-law to Catherine, Grampy to Ceryn and Iestyn, Uncle to Michael, John, Marilyn, Wayne, Gary and dear Brother-in-law to Mona. The family wish to thank their relatives for the flowers, friends and neighbours for the support shown to them during this difficult time and also the many cards and messages of condolence and kind sentiments received. During his stays at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital, Don praised the staff at the Cardiac Monitoring Unit and Ward 13 for their hard work, care and help to him over the last two years. With this in mind, and also on behalf of the hospital, the family would like to offer their gratitude to the people who donated ?40.00, in lieu of flowers. Many thanks are also extended to Pastor Trevor Jones for conducting the service with prayerful reflection, anecdotes and tribute. Special thanks to D.T. Coughlan & Sons for handling the funeral arrangements with respect and care. Returning to pastor Trevor Jones' words, Don will be remembered as a Gentleman and a Gentle Man by all who knew him.
